To become a Tennessee Real Estate Affiliate Broker you must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Show proof of residency for 45 days in Tennessee
• Not have been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude
• Not have had a real estate application of license rejected or revoked in any state within the past 2 yrs
• Complete and pass the state approved 90 hour course consisting of 60 hours of Real Estate Principles/Fundamentals courses and 30 hours of the new affiliates course
• Pass the state exam
• Submit application with appropriate fees

A Real Estate Affiliate Broker is a person licensed by a state to represent a buyer or seller in a real estate transaction in exchange for a commission. Affiliate brokers must work under the direct supervision of an employing broker or principle broker.

The Real Estate pre license course is 90 hours, which is the minimum mandated by the state.

Yes. This course requires a school exam with a passing grade of 70% or better. After passing the test you will be eligible to set an appointment to take the State exam to become licensed. The state exam must be passed with a grade of at least a 70%. The fee for the state exam is $55.00.

In order to have an active real estate license you must be affiliated with a principle broker.

The TN commission requires that each licensee complete 16 hours of CE each two renewal period. The cost for renewal is $80.00.

The initial fee to apply for a real estate affiliate license is $100.00.

To become a broker in the state of Tennessee you must:
