Graduation of AREA’s course is recognized for a free 1 year membership in the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) obtaining full benefits, and discounted membership in the Housing Inspection Foundation (HIF). |

Complete 90 hours of required pre-license home inspection education. |

Complete the state examination you may schedule your exam via the internet at PSI Online or by phone at 1-800-733-9267. The amount of the exam is $195.00. |

Submit completed application, copy of school certificates, copy of passing score from state NHIE examination, copy of high school diploma or GED certificate, copy of certificate of insurance showing you are carrying E & O insurance an at least $500,000.00 General Liability Insurance and application fee of $300.00. |

Home Inspectors must obtain 32 hours of CE each 2 year renewal period. The cost for renewal is $200.00. |
